When I was in Ireland a couple of years ago I went to a place called Wicklow, on my way to Glendalough, (a very beautiful and spiritual place.) I stopped here especially as I had been told there was a raw food cafe there that was run by a spiritual group (ex nuns and priests) called ‘The Servants of Love’ that I just had to go to. They had been living as a group/community for years. (They were doing other groovy stuff also like making hemp ropes.) It was amazing place and I was warmly welcomed and shown around. I was like Charlie in the chocolate factory in the cafe. I spent the day there learning, learning, learning about raw food and dehydrator’s. I get such a charge in places like this. I know I’m in the right place. The cafe had about 10 dehydrator’s going. Lots of them with the base for their wraps. So instead of using grains they used a puree of veggie and seeds spread thinly. OMG! I was blown away by this idea – a no grain flat bread! So I’m going to try to reproduce them now I have my dehydrator. (2 years later) This is Veronica – the lovely lady who changed my mind about raw food. Funny how things work in their own good time.
